Meet Emily Duda Buckley

A Fifth-Generation Floridian Fighting for Central Florida Families

Emily Duda Buckley, candidate for Florida House District 38
“For five generations, my family has farmed in Florida, raising not only cattle and crops, but raising our families on the conservative principles that make our nation great. Now I'm running for State Representative to make sure government works for the citizens it serves.”

Emily Duda Buckley was born and raised in Central Florida, part of a family that has farmed Florida land for five generations. That heritage shaped her: she grew up learning that hard work, faith, and conservative values are how you build a future in Florida.

Emily earned her education at Florida State University, where she saw firsthand how government works, and how often it forgets about the people it is meant to serve. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Criminology, a Master of Public Administration, and a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Management and Homeland Security, all from FSU.

Her commitment to service runs deep. Emily became a Guardian Ad Litem in college and later a licensed foster parent. She continues that work through her leadership with the Florida Association of Foster and Adoptive Parents and the 4Roots Foundation, providing resources to adoptive and foster families, advocating for change in the child-welfare system, and expanding access to healthy meals and agricultural education in communities in need.

Emily is running for the Florida House to fight for families facing sky-high housing and insurance costs, rising child- and elder-care costs, and a government that keeps taking more. She believes in a simple standard: our budget is a reflection of our values, and government should live within its means like the rest of us.

Family & Faith

Emily Duda Buckley with her family

Emily lives in Oviedo, where she is raising her two children, Jack and Keira June. Being an adoptive mother of young children keeps her grounded in the same economic pressures families across District 38 feel every day, from the grocery aisle to the insurance bill.

A person of faith, Emily is an active member of the Lutheran church. Her roots in Central Florida and her lifelong service to families and children are at the center of why she is running.

Paid for by Emily Duda Buckley, Republican, for State Representative, District 38.
